Network Interfaces

Communication is essential...
in almost all aspects of life. Your ring back system is no exception and needs to communicate with the rest of your
network successfully. For this, you need the right set of network interfaces with the flexibility to interact with your
network regardless of the different protocols used in it. Click on the different interfaces for more information.

SMSC

The ECT Ring Back System needs to interact with your SMSC for an enhanced user experience. This happens in both directions, e.g. when users want to purchase content via SMS or when the system sends notifications to the user. We integrate with your SMSC using standard protocols like SMPP 3.4, UCP, XML/SOAP or http and we have a long track of successful SMSC integrations from different vendors.

USSD GW

USSD sessions are widely used in some markets. If this is the case in your country, it is important to know that we integrate USSD Gateways using SMPP3.4 as well as other proprietary protocols.

SOAP API

Our Application Programming Interface (API) based on SOAP/XML and our Software Development Kit  allows you or a third party to change our user interfaces and storefronts or to create your own. A content provisioning API makes it easy to set up interfaces to your content providers.

SMTP

The interface to your email server can be used to send automatic reports to the marketing area of your company.

NTP

Being in time is essential, and your ring back system should always be synchronized with your network when selecting a scheduled tone or putting a time-stamp on a log, CDR or report.  We synchronize with your NTP server.

Content provisioning
includes uploading the content and defining its characteristics, e.g. the title, artist and category of the song, the price as well as the user interfaces via which  the content will be available.
